The Brand

Dram Ive is a brand born in the North of Portugal, which combines sophistication and environmental responsibility in the creation of limited and exclusive fashion accessories. We emerged to meet the need for high-quality products, produced locally in a sustainable way and with a low environmental impact.

Our production is entirely our own and stands out for its exclusive nature. Each collection depends directly on the surplus available, resulting in limited editions and pieces with unique stories. We follow the principles of slow production, ensuring that each item is made with great care, affection and by highly qualified labor.

Our products are designed for people who value differentiation, exclusivity and versatility. Every detail is designed to ensure longevity, with designs and color palettes that allow them to be used for many years.

Creator

"I only know myself in one way. I am an eternal enthusiast and passionate about the art of creation.

If you ask me how I got into the world of fashion, I don't know exactly how to answer. But I believe it's the fault of these two people who are by my side. My mother and Mrs. Prazeres, who was my nanny for a long time. Both are professional seamstresses. 

While my mother was the creative person who was constantly inventing new things, Mrs. Prazeres was the one who would undo and redo the same piece, over and over again, until it was perfect. She doesn't know it, but many years ago she "lent" me the "Great Book of Sewing". To this day I have never read it, but I will keep it with me forever for all the good memories it brings me. 

Ever since I was little, I unconsciously tried to follow in their footsteps. I would pick up fabrics, appropriate their things, detune machines (…) without any idea about patterns or sewing, so I could make clothes for myself. They passed on to me their taste and my curiosity to want to know more and more, which has meant that today I can create your pieces in a completely independent way.

After completing my training in fashion design and having been so close to the textile world over the years, I began to realize that there was still a lot of waste in large industries. Huge rolls of fabric that were left over, either because they were leftovers from collections or because they had small defects, were discarded. 

Thoughts like "so many useful things could be done with these fabrics instead of them going to waste" persisted until the moment Dram Ive was created. Without any plan and just with my enormous desire to create, I launched the first tote bag, a basic, hand-painted one. Little did I imagine that 3 years later the range of products, their quality and the people who wanted them, would be much greater. 

My mission is and will always be to better serve the Dram Ive community. A community full of real people who are looking for a humanized brand, limited, quality products, and a unique design.

It is possible to make fashion in a sustainable and ethical way, without giving up quality and differentiation."
